In 2008, Jarno Saarinen was watching Euro 2008 in Spain with his family when his four-year-old daughter Emma wanted to play. He pulled two chairs together and kicked a ball between them. Emma kicked it back. A sport was born on a holiday balcony.
Neighbours built their own versions. Swim trunks became nets. A decade later, a historic match between Finnish goalkeeper legend Antti Niemi and futsal captain Panu Autio proved bench soccer was a real sport. The very next day, Jarno resigned from his job and founded Subsoccer.
Today, Playseated brings that same game — now with over a billion social media views — to homes, offices, and events across the United States.
